We know, it’s been radio silence for a hot minute, but we would LOVE to bring it on back.
After a thready couple of years, Pink Flag is climbing back into the saddle — sort of.
As some of you may be aware, Dork Flag has left our company to study at University of Wisconson, and continues to write her own blog under the moniker “Science With Moxie” in the Scientific American blog network. So we’d like to officially announce Drunk Flag as a full-fledged member (sort of) allowed to contribute his own parts. We are just kidding. Welcome to the fold!
We won’t make any promises about touring since Drunk has a baby and Sick has a pretty solid job, but there is always a chance. We intend to release our full length which has languished for 2+ years, as well as get some sweet recordings of some of the new ones. Here’s a tasty bite of some of what you might hear:
In addition, we’re planning a really sick show this month at perennial favorite club, The Pinhook, with Brooklyn’s Wojcik and Greensboro’s Eros and the Eschaton. Tickets are available in advance through this site here, or at the door for $6. The show is gonna be early (it’s a schoolnight!) and will start at 8pm, with E&tE, then 9 for Wojcik and 10 for pink flag. You’ll be home in bed by the eyewitness news at 11!
If you want to do us an extra super special favor, we could use some help promoting it! If you work in an office, or a restaurant, or are a student, or just like using a stapler, click on this link for a black and white version of our show flyer and put it up. Here are some ideas of where to put flyers:
-At your job (in the window or on the door if you work in a service, on the bulletin board, at your cubicle!)
-At your house (on your mailbox is great, or in the halls of your building, or on your mirror so you can look at it every morning and remember the amazing show you already bought tickets to on July 31)
-In public (contrary to what you might believe, the city loves it when we put flyers on garbage cans, utility poles and the sidewalk). If you are a college student, colleges are great too!
We appreciate you and will see you soon soon soon!
